Azita Ghanizada

Azita was born in Kabul, Afghanistan. Azita is an Afghan American who lives in the United States. She is an Afghan American actress from Kabul Afghanistan. After fleeing the country she was born in, her family moved towards America. US. She was given asylum, and were allowed to remain. She was raised by her two sisters living in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada made her debut on television by appearing in several National Commercials. Ghanizada starred as Chiara in Laura Neri's production A Kiss on the Nose (2003). For the performance, she won during the Festival of Cannes for the Best Actress Award. She appeared as an actor in a variety of television shows, like How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars Wedding Bells Num3RS Bones Psych & Castle. Recently, she was in the sci-fi action movie Blood Shot (2009) and the comedies that are independent You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada started her acting career in 2008, when she joined the team for The General Hospital spin-off General Hospital. Season two of Nightshift she played holistic doctor the Dr. Saira Bastra.
